March Madness

Our class has been so busy!  We celebrated St. Patricks Day all week.  First, we designed our own Leprechaun and gave him a name (of course).  Once that was finished, we each wrote a story about their leprechaun.  The stories were hilarious!  They used so many great describing words in their stories.  This made them interesting to read to their partners and to the class.
During math stations, we reviewed place value by choosing a number and writing it on a green shamrock.  They wrote the expanded number, drew the groups of tens and ones, wrote the number word and composed addition and subtraction problems that added up to or subtracted to the number they chose.
