We Are Thankful

During our shared read aloud time, we read a variety of stories that focused on being "Thankful". After we read, we shared what we were thankful for and why.  During Writers Workshop, they each wrote what they were thankful for.  They all did such a great job putting their thoughts on paper.  Some were hilarious and they were all very touching.  They worked very hard and their stories reflected their hard work.  To expand our lesson on being  thankful, each student took home a feather and decorated it to represent what they were thankful for.  The feathers they add go on the turkey.  I plan on posting some of their stories so stay tuned!
